Everything you need to know about Back in Stock Notify Pro
A: Use the "Install" button on the app listing or follow the manual install URL. After installing, grant the requested permissions and the app will appear in your store admin.
A: Billing is handled via Shopify Billing API. You can upgrade from the Billing page within the app; Shopify manages recurring charges.
A: Customers request notification on product pages. When a variant is restocked, the app sends notifications via Email, SMS, or WhatsApp (based on plan and settings).
A: SMS and WhatsApp messages are sent via Twilio / Meta. **You pay directly to Twilio/Meta** (not us) — we just provide the integration. Enter your credentials in Settings → SMS/WhatsApp. Phone numbers must be in **E.164 format** (e.g., +91 98765 43210 for India, +1 555 123 4567 for US).

Costs (billed to you): US ~$0.0075/SMS, India ~$0.005/SMS. No app fees.
Costs (billed to you): $0.005/message + Meta template fees (~$0.01-0.05/msg). No app fees.
SMS notifications are delivered using Twilio, a third-party SMS provider. For security and billing reasons, merchants must connect their own Twilio account.
You can create a Twilio account at Sign up at Twilio (free trial with $15 credit) . After signup, you’ll receive: Account SID Auth Token A verified Twilio phone number These credentials can be entered in the app under SMS Settings.
After saving valid Twilio credentials, use the Send Test SMS option inside the app to verify delivery.
WhatsApp notifications use the WhatsApp Business API and require an approved provider and message templates.
Once WhatsApp API credentials and templates are configured, merchants can send test messages using the Test WhatsApp option inside the app. Note: WhatsApp notifications are available on supported plans only.
No third-party setup is required. Customers opt in directly from the storefront notification form. Note: Web Push notifications are available on supported plans only.
A: Uninstalling the app triggers our uninstall webhook which removes store-specific data. You can also request data deletion via support at BackinStockPro@avrhil.in.
A: Yes — Pro & Premium merchants can edit the email HTML template from Settings → Email Templates. Free plan allows default templates only.
